Often the trickiest part of the content management process is using the browser based text/HTML editors. Most computer savvy people are accustomed to the advanced robust functionality of desktop software such as Microsoft Word. When trying to offer this type of functionality over the web your confronted with the limitations of an editor that has to load on every page refresh across a multitude of browsers.This generally results in erratic performance & functionality.

To enhance the editing environment for our clients iFactory have invested in the integration of a more advanced editor within the Content Management System. Upgraded functionality includes:

• Automatically cleans up text for cut & paste from Microsoft Word by default
• Choose from pre-defined CSS styles to keep your website's look & feel
• Image resize & crop
• Choose from a range of page layout templates
• Full page size editor view
• Improved HTML indenting

this new editor is currently in beta release and once we are satisfied with performance will be incorporating it is a part of our standard install and upgrading it across all our support plan customers website's free of charge. We are also investigating the incorporation of a spell checker into the system.
